Bao is a very strong willed boy. He has never doubted in his mind that he is a mermaid unicorn, though, Zane does not exactly help him with that. Bao moved into Zane's pool after being found alone in the sea during Zane's intense swimming sessions. The two have been best friends since.
He named himself after Bao Buns, since that is squeak's favorite food. His soft tummy is a similar texture as a Bao Bun as well.
Boop has intense anxiety, and carries around his squeaky bone and plushy boba at all times! They are very important.
Due to intense trauma, which he has blocked from his memory, Bao is forever in the state of mind of a child, and wishes to be treated as one.
